Christmas Is The BEST!!!

I love Christmas time so much! It's such a wonderful time of the year... not only do we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but we also join with family and friends in doing so! It's just a joyful time and there's such festivity in the air.
Now, because we are off of TNL for 2 weeks, I'm going to present a challenge to all you 8th grade girls. Whoever comments the most on different blogs of mine will receive a special gift from me when we return from our break!! I know not many of you check this, so we'll see what happens :) Merry Christmas!!

Tis The Season!!!!

Once again, it's finally here! The season of joy and love; the season of lines & shopping; the season of presents and family time; the season of happiness no matter what's going on in life or in the world. The season of giving.
How often do we receive gifts on Christmas morning that end up sitting in our rooms all year long? How often do you open a gift that you don't "need"? How often do you get more than 1 gift on Christmas morning? How often do you give to someone in need?
We celebrate Jesus' birth on Christmas, and He gave us the greatest gift of all- forgiveness & life in Him.
This Christmas I encourage you all to take a little extra time or money to help someone else out. We're doing the City of Angels Orphans Christmas Tree with Junior High. That is one way to help someone who simply needs a t-shirt or pair of shoes for Christmas. They are not asking for an ipod or cell phone or concert tickets- they simply need things that we take for granted so often. And there are SOOOO many other people out there in need. This is just one tiny way we can help, but look around and see where else you can help someone who truly needs it!
Send an encouraging note to lift someone's spirits up; lend a helping hand at a homeless shelter; give an unexpected gift to someone who wouldn't receive one otherwise.
There are so many ways for you and I to reach out and help others this Christmas and even beyond the holiday season (throughout the whole year people are in need)!
I encourage you all to think of a way to help or encourage someone else :)
Merry Christmas!!!
